What’s the Best Technique for Epilating?

Let’s cut to the chase, epilating isn’t everyone’s first choice when it comes to hair removal and it certainly isn’t the most comfortable, but, it is very effective and something you do get used to! (I promise!)

It’s something every woman needs to try, you need to grit your teeth and get through the initial pain barrier. Let’s be honest, even reading about the process can make your eyes water, plucking several hairs from the root at one time. It’s so-so worth it though if you persist, the hairs get thinner and grow significantly slower.

Epilating Tips & Tricks

Have a warm shower,or bath. It can make the process a lot easier if you open up your pores. By taking a warm bath or having a quick shower can also soften the hair a bit.

Exfoliate, on completely dry skin. There have been cases of people getting ingrown hairs, exfoliating can solve this issue.

Don’t rush. Epilate in the opposite direction of the hair growth and ensure you take your time. The last thing you want is to have to go over the same area more than once!

Epilate the night before you wan’t to show off your legs, or even better the day before. Using your epilator can leave a little redness if you’re not used to it so you want to give your body a little bit of time to recover.

Soothing Gel or an Ice pack, it will numb the body part you’ve epilated but it will calm your body right down and you’ll be looking incredible in no time!

Clean your epilator. I can’t stress this enough, hygiene is so important. Keeping your epilator clean from bits of hair and in great working order will ensure it performs as it should, everytime.
